Spring Recruitment are working with a manufacturing client based in North Ayrshire who are seeking a Mechanical Maintenance EngineerHours: 39hrs p/wk.Mon - Thurs. 07:30 - 16:30Fri - 07:30 - 12:30Overtime available at weekendsPay DOEMechanical Maintenance Engineer to join the existing maintenance team. With regards to suitable candidates we are quite open to whats available. We would consider someone who has lots of fault finding experience as a fitter or a qualified less experiencedjunior engineer.*Work with the maintenance team to carry out planned / reactive maintenance on various types of machinery (twisting, air entangling, heat setting)*Ability to read Mechanical / technical / Hydraulic & Pneumatic drawings *Ability to fault find and diagnose faults on various different types of machinery (Examples: Hydraulic, Pneumatic, Steam & Compressed Air systems)*Ability to strip down gearboxes, drive trains, Conveyors and rotating machinery, repair and reinstate plant.*Ability to carry out light fabrication work including welding & pipe fitting*Comply with all written processes & procedures (for example: LOTO)*Comply with all site safety processes & procedures*Assist maintenance team with electrical installations and issues as well as Mechanical*Carry out daily general maintenance tasks (lubrication, pulley changes, air jet changes, roller / winder inspections monitor & action production fault reporting sheets, Site improvements)*Attend team meetings & manage workload priorities / deadlines*Installation of new machinery & de-commission redundant machinery*Identify spare parts required and keep manager informed of stock levels*Assist production with breakdowns & repairsSkills / Qualities Required:*The ability to work in a multidisciplinary team*Self-motivated*Effective communicator*Multi tasked orientated*Reliable with excellent time keeping and honourable principles*Works well under pressure*Good verbal & written communication skills*Excellent team working skillsQualifications:*Minimum HNC qualified Mechanical Fitter / Engineer (Preferably from a Manufacturing Maintenance Engineering background) Spring Engineering Solutions (a trading name of Roevin Management Services Limited) acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
