Job Description

Midas Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with this leading multi-site educational trust, that manages a portfolio of academies in the Midlands. The trust is expanding and now wishes to appoint a new Internal Audit Officer.The Role: Internal Audit OfficerWorking closely with the Director, the Internal Audit Officer, the duties will include;

Performing the full audit cycle over financial effectiveness, ensuring reliability and compliance with all directives and regulations.
Obtaining, analysing and evaluating accounting documentation and reports to ensure effective internal controls and compliance are in place,
Preparing and presenting audit reports,
Identifying issues and recommending improvements and cost savings
Following up with management to monitor interventions/recommendations.
The role will be based in Stoke, Staffordshire, with some travel other sites as required

The PersonTo be successful in the role, it is anticipated that the individual will have;

At least 12 months experience in an audit or accounting function
The ability to analyse and interpret financial information
A clear communication style, and professional manner
The ability to observe, identify areas for improvement in a busy environment
A flexible approach to travel to the various sites as required

Salary and BenefitsThe role is offered on a permanent basis at a salary c £24,000-£26,000, plus benefits that include 28 days holiday and pension, together with a supportive career development culture.
