Job Description

Workshop Manager (Commercial Vehicle/Bodybuilding)£40,000 - £45,000 DOE + Company BenefitsKettering Are you a workshop manager from a commercial vehicle body building background, looking for an opportunity where you will shape and develop a team of 25 engineers, drive production and manage a strong cultureAre you looking for a permanent and local role where you will be a part of one of the largest and most reputable commercial vehicle bodybuilding businesses within the east midlandsOn offer Is the opportunity to work for a company that are experts in new build commercial vehicles, crash repairs, paint spraying, vehicle graphics and signwriting. The site consists of 4 workshops incorporating large paint shops, a specialist new-build workshop,a repairs centre, a graphics application unit and a repair and refurbishment centre and a new-build workshop.You will be the Senior manager within the business, ensuring customer orders are completed on time and within budget hours and that quality standards and targets are met.The Responsibilities:

  • Ensure customer orders are completed on time and within budget hours and that quality standards and targets are met
  • Ensure materials are available for a production build slot
  • Monitor productivity rates and product standards and implement quality control programmes
  • Ensure that the business Whole Vehicle Type Approval process is followed
  • Organise the repair of any damaged equipment
  • Collate and analyse data, putting together production reports for management
