The Trust aims to deliver safe, high quality care and ensures a positive patient experience. As part of our team you will represent the Trust in delivering nursing care in line with the Trust Care Values.We are looking for a proactive and confident practitioner who is able to commit to this dynamic role and navigate the changing demands of today’s healthcare environment.We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced practitioner with a strong clinical and leadership background within an intensive care specialty. The successful candidate will support the team to drive change and embed a culture of continuous learning and improvement. The successful person will have evidence of relevant, up-to-date intensive care nursing and clinical skills and will act as an expert clinical role model sharing skills, knowledge and experience & influencing the promotion of high quality care through evidence based practice. You will provide expert nursing advice to all members of the multidisciplinary team in order to influence innovations, promoting quality care for patients and will be working at the bedside supporting our junior workforce to enable this development.This role will include the responsibility for the management and co-ordination of the unit, management of staff, financial material and information resources in partnership with appropriate personnel, as well as ensuring the standards of the nursing service and nursing practice.This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, highly motivated practitioner with considerable experience to develop their leadership and management skills within the Intensive Care Unit. It is expected that the post-holder will be able to work independently in the role with the support from the ICU Senior Nursing team and Lead Nurse.The candidate must be an expert nurse in ICU with substantial experience at band 6 in ICU. You will have a UK recognised Nursing degree (or equivalent), appropriate specialist ITU course with teaching/mentorship qualification and ideally a Master’s Degree (or working towards).
