Job Description

We are recruiting a Transport Coordinator on behalf of our customer who are a leading global provider in the logistics industry. This position is based in Kettering and you will be liaising with drivers and customers on a daily basis to ensure smooth andefficient planning.As a Transport Coordinator your responsibilities will include;

  • Dispatching routes to ensure delivery times are met
  • Conducting remedial planning to effectively manage any live changes to the plan
  • Administrative duties as necessary
  • Liaising with management to ensure the effective use of vehicles
  • Ensure that accidents are escalated to line management
  • Ensure that defected vehicles are recorded
  • Ensure that the procedure for any damaged deliveries is followed
  • Debriefing drivers
  • Dealing with customer issue and queries
The ideal candidate will have the following;
  • Experience within the Transport and Logistics sector is essential
  • An up to date knowledge of EU Driver Hours and WTD
  • Knowledge of Tachomaster, Zenith and Transnet preferred but not essential
  • Fantastic customer service skills
  • Hard working & Resilient
The Employment package on offer;
  • £28,646 per annum
  • Monday - Friday 1100 - 2000 (Overtime available)
  • 21 days holiday + Bank Holidays
