Laboratory Test Technician required to join a busy organisation based in Kettering, Northamptonshire. Working as part of a team undertaking physical testing of PPE products in accordance with International and European standards within afast-turnaround environment.Product tests will predominantly cover motorcycle garments ie: jackets, trousers, race suits, gloves and impact protectors. Full training will be provided.The successful job holder will be required to: Read, learn and understand international standards for the testing of PPE Use special purpose test equipment and machines to generate test results Prepare test samples prior to testing Record and calculate test results - electronically and on paper in preparation for reports Maintain storage of samples and tidiness of the laboratory Assist with customer visits both on and off siteApplications are invited from candidates with the following skills and attributes: GCSEs in English and Mathematics - minimum grade C Ability to follow testing procedures, process and record accurate results A flexible approach to working and ability to respond to changing deadlines and priorities A methodical approach to work and good multi-tasking skills A meticulous eye for detail, good organizational and time management skills Ability to work independently and also within a team Experience of working in a test laboratory would be desirable but not essentialThis Technicians role offers a great opportunity to develop a career working in a modern lab environment within this well-respected organisation providing laboratory testing and certification services to clients within the UK and throughout the world.The role pays a competitive salary and benefits, including 25 days holidays, flexible working hours, subsidised dining, car parking facilities, etc.Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per weekFull information and job description available on application.
