You would be working as part of a friendly, well-motivated countywide team of around 100 people, which includes at least 11 ESPs who are the clinical leads. They run problem patient sessions which all physiotherapists can access as well as formal supervision and training.Normal working pattern is Monday-Friday, however, however there may be the requirement to work some evenings and Saturday mornings. These clinics are a multi-skilled team of Specialist, Advanced and Extended Scope Physiotherapists to provide specialist assessment, diagnosis and advice to MSK patients in primary care. This new development is in line with NHS England’s First Contact Practitioner initiative and is an exciting unique opportunity for you to be involved in cutting edge new ways of working. This service will be integrated within the MSK Physiotherapy service as a whole to deliver seamless, transformational and high quality care to patients, as well as offering opportunities for development and expansion of clinical skills for clinicians.Within this role you will be responsible for providing high quality specialist physiotherapy assessment and treatment to patients with complex musculoskeletal conditions, both within the FCP clinics as well as those referred to the core MSK service, to include prioritising referrals and managing a full caseload of neuro-musculoskeletal patients. You will also regularly undertake mentoring and appraisal for junior members within the physiotherapy team as well as providing them with regular day-to-day supervision as necessary.
