Job Description

HR Advisor/ HR Business PartnerKettering, Northamptonshire37 hours (Monday to Friday)Primarily working from home and with 1 day a week in the Kettering officeTemporary - 12 weeks£30,000-£34,000As a HR professional, do you love getting involved and supporting operationsAre you experienced in working with managers on employee relations mattersIf this sounds like you, I have the perfect opportunity for you!The role contributes to the continued delivery of HR advisory service and is key to efficient service delivery, by developing effective working relationships and educating and influencing front line manager on the full spectrum of employment matters includingcase management and change programmes.Duties and responsibilities for the HR Advisor role include:

  • Working closely with front line managers on employee relations matters, including Disciplinary, Grievances, Performance Management, Sickness absence and Occupational Health
  • Support change management projects including service restructures and TUPE transfers using a project management approach to coach managers to drive through change.
  • Maintaining employee data within the HR System, to ensure the highest level of data integrity
  • Provide consistent and high-quality advice and guidance on employment matters to managers, developing a range of options and creative solutions that also take account of employment legislation requirements and business needs
  • Support the continuous development of the HR service through input into policy development. Deliver training for managers and employees on a full range of HR policies
  • HR Project work as required
Skills and experience required for the HR Advisorrole:
  • CIPD Level 5 or equivalent experience
  • Previous HR generalist experience
  • Knowledge of using a HR management system
  • A high level of confidentiality, tact and diplomacy
  • The ability to build relationships quickly
  • The ability to be flexible and adaptable
  • Strong IT skills, PC literate
  • The ability to work with minimal supervision
