Job Description

Trading since 1989, were the UKs largest provider of property risk expertise and residential surveying services. To put it into numbers, we complete more than one property inspection every 12 seconds and employ over 600 surveyors from Land’s End to JohnO’Groats. This gives us the flexibility to offer nationwide coverage combined with invaluable local knowledge.Were part of the LSL Property Services PLC Group, which includes household names Your Move and Reeds Rains, as well as the mortgage network PRIMIS. We work with lenders, intermediaries, social housing entities and estate agents in addition to private customers.We have a fantastic opening within our Finance Department in the role of a Financial Analyst!As a Financial Analyst specialising in FP&A, Management Accounting, and Finance Business Partnering, you will play a pivotal role in driving financial performance and supporting strategic decision-making.   • Produce daily, weekly, monthly and annual reports to analyse and track the performance of the business.
  • Present detailed financial reports to managers and support the monthly Performance Review and Quarterly Business Review processes.
  • Assist in the preparation of management reports and presentations for senior leadership.
  • Collaborate with the FP&A Partner to conduct financial planning and analysis (FP&A) activities supporting strategic decision-making.
  • Identify trends and themes in key performance indicators and produce comparison analysis.
  • Manage and execute the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insightful analysis.
  • Perform management accounting tasks to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Act as a finance business partner to various business units, addressing their financial needs.
  • Develop and maintain financial models for scenario planning and business performance analysis.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business drivers and contribute to financial strategy.
  • Partner with stakeholders to deliver financial insights that drive business outcomes.
  • Support ad-hoc financial projects and initiatives as required.
  • Manage financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
  • Create variance analysis reports and financial models.
  • Lead real-time financial performance monitoring.
  • Escalate any financial issues to management.
  • Complete market research and comparable company analysis.
  • Recommend strategies for increasing financial performance.
  • Utilize popular financial planning and analysis software.
  • Manage a team of more-junior financial planning analysts.
  • Collaborate with senior members of the accounting and finance teams.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field; professional qualification (CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent) preferred.
  • Proven experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Management Accounting, and Finance Business Partnering.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and scenario planning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with business partners.
  • Solid understanding of financial reporting principles and practices.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant financial tools.
  • Experience with ERP systems and financial software.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality in work.
