Job Description

Midsummer Drylining are a family owned business that have been growing from strength to strength over the last decade. They have a very strong book of work and will be growing substantially over the next few years.Theyre looking to hire a Dry Lining Quantity Surveyor to join their team, this position has become available due to business growth. Youll be based in Kettering and theyre offering a salary of £40,000 - £60,000. For the right person there is growth potentialas the business grows, your potential here really is uncapped. You may be an assistant Quantity Surveyor looking for your next career step or you may currently be a Quantity Surveyor looking to take a more senior rolethey have capacity to look at both options.Key Responsibilities:

  • Youll be managing multiple projects at any one time whilst carrying out surveying duties on drylining and associated packages
  • Day-to-day you will prepare subcontract packages for procurement using Chalkstring/OST - if youve used similar software we can teach you
  • On a regular basis you will carry out construction take offs & preparing bills of quantity from drawings and specifications
  • At all times youll act as an ambassador of the brand, ensuring Midsummer are consistently seen as professional whilst delivering internal and external projects to the highest of standards
What we need from you:
  • Youll be degree qualified or significant demonstrable experience in a similar role for a drylining contractor
  • Youll have a good solid understanding of estimating and have the ability to come up with creative solutions for complex problems
  • As well as wanting your own success, youll have a vested interest in the success of the business and want to see everyone do well with this closely knit team
