Job Description

Description Our Client has an exciting opportunity for a Demand Planning Manager to join their team, on a 12-month fixed term contract, responsible for leading and managing the demand planning process for Domestic and International channels, ensuring a robust forecastis in place for an 18-month horizon and company KPIs are achieved. This role balances short term issues with Demand and Supply, drives cross functional collaboration, and is key in the Integrated Business Planning cycle. You will:

  • Lead the Monthly Account Review process with Domestic and International Commercial teams to identify risks & opportunities and align on the best forecast
  • Contribute relevant data, highlight anomalies and actions to the IBP Demand Review
  • Engage and lead the Demand Planning team
  • Lead and deliver continuous improvement of the demand planning process and ensure these are aligned across all markets and customers
  • Establish best practice methods, (for example statistical models and segmentation tools) to create forecasts, measure accuracy to drive continuous KPI service and inventory improvements
  • Lead compliance to forecast, open/closed windows and ensure a robust demand forecast is always visible across a rolling 18-month period
  • Support the short-term demand management process to identify and manage supply/ capacity challenges and excess stock opportunities, aligning stakeholders in Supply Chain and Account Teams
  • Lead forecast and inventory planning meetings relating to NPD/Discontinuations to maximise profit and customer service levels
Requirements You will have previous experience of demand planning, coupled with a detailed knowledge of demand planning tools and sales & demand forecasting, an understanding of process flows for product change, IBP, demand and supply planning, end to end knowledge ofsupply chain and strong commercial acumen. You will ideally have experience of FMCG Supply Chain or Commercial experience working within the FMCG market. Essential to the role is experience of coaching and developing a team, robust leadership skills, strongcommunication skills at all levels of business and the ability to manage change and solve problems.
