Travis Perkins are currently looking for a Category Assistant to work within the Commercial department. The main responsibility of this role is to support our Category Manager in the delivery of Category Strategy targets and objectives.What youll doYou will provide administration and organisational support to the category management team setting up and maintaining suppliers/products on the computer system including pricing, compiling performance data, reports and assisting with day to day queries.It is an exciting role touching all areas of our commercial operation and offers the opportunity for development towards progressing into category management.This diverse role will give the successful candidate the opportunity to develop a broad range of skills including; product management, negotiation and stakeholder management.Is this youAs a Category Assistant you will need to be flexible with your working environment and have experience working in a professional environment, with the communication skills required to interpret customer needs.You will possess a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, ability to communicate on all levels, internally and externally, and have excellent written, numerical and verbal skills.
