Interaction Recruitment are currently seeking a Milling/Lathe CNC Setter/Operator in our Machine shop to assist with the operating and maintaining of a range of CNC machines, working with Stainless Steel/Aluminium/ Nylon/Brass materials. Candidate Responsibilities You will be required to set & operate the following: Bridgeport VMC 500 Bridgeport Heidenhain VMC 760 HAAS ST 15 Lathe Fanuc controls Candidate Daily Duties: Programming jobs. Setting of CNC Machine tools/Lathes/Mills. Operating CNC machines in a safe and efficient manner. Interpret customer requirements from engineering drawings, sketches and written/verbal descriptions. Using measuring equipment to carry out dimensional checks. Participate in general workshop activities, including basic machine maintenance and cleaning. Essential Skills and Experience: Must be experienced in setting and operating CNC machinery. Must be confident working in a safety conscious workshop. Must be flexible and hardworking to meet manufacturing needs. Must be able to read engineering drawings. Run multiple machines at the same time. Checking your own work. Deburring your work. Willing to do overtime if needed. An individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Experience using One-CNC Software would be beneficial but not essential Ability to be flexible and operate other conventional machines will be beneficial - such as Manual lathes, drills, saws, milling, grinding. Desirable Skills: Good manual dexterity Ability to work efficiently to deadlines Good attention to detail Flexible and hardworking Ability to prioritise Calm under pressure A team player, with an efficient and proactive approach.
