Job Description

Accounts AssistantPermanentFull-time, office-basedMonday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week.£25 - 27,000 DOEAre you a recent graduate looking to kickstart your career within finance or you have previous finance experience and you would like to develop furtherAre you eager to learn, with excellent drive and self-motivationAre you looking for a role offering real responsibilities and learning opportunities from day oneIf so, this could be the job for you!Impact Recruitment have a fantastic opportunity for an Accounts Assistant to join an established, global company based in Kettering on a permanent basis. The main responsibility of this role will be to support the purchase ledger and creditcontrol functions, undertake reconciliations, cost accounting, and general administrative support as required.The successful candidate will have a degree in a finance-related discipline, or have completed an AAT qualification, and ideally some experience within purchase ledger or credit control. You must have a demonstrable interest in pursuing a career within accounts,along with a desire to learn and strong interpersonal skills.Key responsibilities and duties of the Accounts Assistant:

  • Supporting the purchase ledger and credit control teams.
  • Cost accounting and accounting for fixed assets
  • Managing and reconciling petty cash.
  • Liaising with colleagues within the finance team, management, and employees across the business.
  • Manage incoming queries and forwarding/escalating as needed.
  • Any other general administrative tasks as needed to support the team.
Key experience and skills required for the Accounts Assistant:
  • A finance-related degree (inc. Business) or AAT qualification (Level 3, achieved or working toward)
  • Previous experience of purchase ledger and credit control.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Excel.
  • Previous experience/knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics highly desirable.
  • Versatile with the ability to work as part of a team and autonomously.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Organised, self-motivated, proactive, and able to work to deadlines.
