Ward Manager | Band 7/8a equivalent| Full time| Chatham | Opportunity to undertake training in a clinical specialism The Spire Alexandra Hospital has an exciting and rewarding opportunity for a Ward Manager to join their dedicated team. The successfulapplicant will be accountable for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of planned care for patients. You will also provide excellent clinical and managerial leadership, appropriate advice and support to other staff in the department as wellas supporting the Matron/Head of Clinical Services in the overall management of the healthcare environment. The Spire Alexandra hospital is located in Kent approximately eight miles from Maidstone and five miles from Chatham. We offer everything from healthscreening and checks, to acute and minor surgery through to professional recovery and rehabilitation. Our facilities boast two laminar flow theatres and 32 beds across two ward areas, an endoscopy suite, imaging department, physiotherapy and outpatient consultingrooms. Our outpatient department is open six days a week, including evenings, offering flexible appointments for patients Duties and responsibilities Lead the service and ensure the efficient running of the department Provide and receive patient information,ensuring that all patient information is provided, received and recorded in accordance with the Data Protection Act and Spire Policies Develop own knowledge and skills and contribute to the development of others Promote best practice in health & safety andsecurity Maintain a high level of service Seek and employ innovative methods of improving service delivery in line with the 5 CQC Key Lines of Enquiry (KLOE); always aiming to achieve Good and Outstanding Who were looking for NMC Registered Nurse with norestriction on practise Proven experience as a senior nurse/ ward manager You will be highly clinically competent with experience of the effective management of clinical audits, meeting financial and key performance indicators and developing teams. With atrack record of successfully applying performance management and driving forward change and improvement.
