Job Title - Senior Systems Administrator Contract - Permanent Salary - £45,000 - £48,000 or £250 Per Day (Contract) Location - South East London / Kent Industry - Software Provider / ITMy client who is a fast pace Software Company based in South East London/Kent, who develop a Life & Pension software package. Due to rapid growth my client are looking for a Senior Systems Administrator to take ownership of the day to day running of the IT infrastructure of their busy office based in South East London/Kent. The Candidate:- - The candidate must have minimum 4 years experience at systems administration level, preferably for a software house. - Must be self-motivated and have the right attitude to get the job done and improve practices. - Great Interpersonal skills - ability to converse with both internal and external customers. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Must have a strong desire to succeed and thrive in front of a challenge. Role Responsibilities:- - Administer, manage and maintain all aspects of the on-site Network, Servers and Appliances - Administer all User Security, IT Resource Access control, NT Permissions - Daily Backups, Systems Monitoring, Capacity planning, Monthly patching and updates - Project work to refresh existing infrastructure (SAN, Firewalls, Switches, VM hosts) - Desktop Image and updates, Mobile devices, Laptops, Asset tracking - Second line support for a very capable self-sufficient IT competent workforce Skills Required:- - Exceptional Microsoft Server Platforms 2003-2019 preferably with MCSA and MCSE preferable - Microsoft AD/DNS/DHCP/GPO/Certificate Services/WDS/WSUS/SMTP services - Solid networking skills in a Microsoft environment and all aspects of network security - VMWare 6.0 experience ideally with VCP certification or willing to certify within 3 months - Veeam Backup Solutions and Tape System or equivalent - O365 Administration and Services - Microsoft Desktop Platforms 7/10 - Strong scripting experience in PowerShell - IBMLenovo Server or equivalent, SAN and Fiber technologies - Experience with BCMDR planning and test execution Desirable Skills Required:- - Web Servers - Microsoft IIS/ Apache / Tomcat - SQL Server 2012R2 or greater experience - Cisco ASA, Switches and Meraki experience - Knowledge of orchestrator platforms preferably Jenkins - PRTG Monitoring, SFTP Services - AV Security Software such as Bit Defender, Nessus, Carbon Black - Understanding of MVC N-Tier architecture - ITIL framework; Amazon AWS and Azure Cloud Services If you have the relevant experience or know someone that does please contact us now on or email me at To view all Current Vacancies or for more information on our Refer a Friend scheme, contact one of our consultants or visit our website www.lawesgroup.co.uk Please Note: Due to the sheer volume of applications we receive, we will only contact successful applications.
