Job Description

My client, a market leading provider of structural steelwork, steel fabrications and architectural metalwork are actively seeking a Plant Manager/Storesperson to join them on a Permanent basis.Daily duties may include:

  • Unloading goods
  • Preparing detailed lists of items or goods that need purchasing or repairing - carrying out repairs where possible
  • Receiving and scanning goods and checking against orders
  • Inspecting for damage
  • Moving goods around a store - occasionally using machinery to carry out these duties
  • Stacking bulky goods safely
  • Ensuring machinery is maintained and serviced
  • Picking goods from shelves and recording their movements
  • Data entry and paperwork
  • Creating a storage system for inventory thats orderly and accessible and includes identifying information
  • Reviewing pricing on a consistent basis to ensure the company is receiving the best available pricing for each item
    • The following skills/knowledge would be required:
  • Stores/warehousing experience would be advantageous
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good working knowledge of IT systems and software, in particular Outlook, Word and Excel required
