Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrically Biased)North Kent Commutable from - Gravesend, Rochester, Dartford, Orpington, Erith, Bromley, Sevenoaks, Sidcup£41,000Monday-Friday 3-Shift Pattern (6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm / 10pm-6am)Our client is a leading food manufacturer, with a reputation for product quality which is second to none and industry leading standards. Due to continued growth they are looking for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrically Biased), to come on board and be sole engineer responsible on shift. An exciting time as the company are bringing in new systems & machinery with investment to the site.Role & Responsibilities:*Provide front line engineering support to all food production, processing & packaging machinery, PLCs, conveyors, robotics, industrial plant equipment & systems and site services*Be the sole engineer on shift - responsible for production machinery & plant equipment*Keep machinery & plant working to the designed output efficiencies *Monitor computer systems to determine efficiencies & development of systems*Assist in installation, commissioning of new equipment when necessary for projects*Electrical & mechanical fault finding & repair of all site machinery, equipment & associate systems*Propose improvements to all equipment in order to improve reliability and efficiency*Regular PPM and scheduled maintenance and improvement works Knowledge, Skills & Experience:*Must have worked for 10 years+ in industrial process electrical engineering (site experience)*Able to work under pressure with strong problem-solving skills and able to follow PPM schedules*Be multi-skilled as an engineer and able to fault finding strongly on both electrical & mechanical *Have completed a recognised apprenticeship*PLC - electrical fault-finding capabilities, reviewing input & output loops to identify and resolve issues with circuitry *Competent, capable & happy with working on shift by themselves, responsible for all machinery *Able to change belts, bearings, rollers, cylinders, pneumatics, valves etc.*Must come from a food manufacturing industry*Able to work as part of a team but on own initiative, as will be working by yourself sometimes on shift*Qualified to ONC/HNC level in engineering *Ideally be able to use mills & lathes, and carry out TIG welding *Have experience of working with automated production lines, packaging machinery & conveyors*A self-motivated character, who is flexible to there working hours and approach*Comfortable & confident with working with both "older" industrial machinery / plant equipment and, "newer" automated production machinery & associated systemsShifts & Benefits Package:*Shift:-Monday-Friday 3-Shift - (Sun-Thur 10pm-6am - Mon-Fri 6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm)*Salary:- £41,000 + Overtime *Benefits:- Autoenrollment Government Pension, 25 Days Holidays + Bank Holidays Job Reference No: SE17535 / 534If you are interested in this role or looking for something similar please contact our Managing Consultant, Chris Gumm. directly at or call them for a confidential discussion on .
