**Responsibilities/Accountabilities:****Financial Management:**- Oversee the production of monthly management accounts and reports for the schools in a timely manner.- Responsible for both schools finance function, including management and year-end reporting.- Effective control of accounts receivable and accounts payable.- Provide support to the Head Teachers and other staff members as needed.**Financial Reporting:**- Review monthly management reports (MMRs), including profit and loss accounts, balance sheets, and analytical commentary.- Control budgets and provide periodic reports to budget holders throughout the financial year.- Prepare and present finance schedules and forecasts for monthly reviews and quarterly governance meetings.- Collate pupil and staff statistical data for monthly reporting.**Financial Controls:**- Maintain the financial ledgers and accounting processes.- Ensure appropriate financial controls are in place and adhere to Cavendishs finance manuals.- Implement and maintain finance and support systems in line with Cavendishs finance manuals.- Review month-end general ledger reconciliations.**Leadership and Strategy:**- Lead on all financial matters within the school under the direction of the Head Teacher.- Attend senior leadership team meetings and report to governors as necessary.- Implement school-wide changes and allocate resources according to the school improvement plan.- Collaborate with other Bursars in the Cavendish group to share best practices and ensure consistency of systems and practices.- Report regularly to the Cavendish Financial Director and the Head Teacher.**Main Purpose:**The Finance Manager, or Bursar, is responsible for the strategic financial management of the school, reporting to the governing body and providing day-to-day administration support to the Head Teachers.
