My client is in search of a mid-level data engineer to join their booming financial services company in Kent.Responsibilities:Design and maintain efficient data pipeline architecture.Enhance data storage platforms for improved speed, scalability, reliability, and performance.Execute acquisition, extraction, preparation, and processing of extensive datasets for predictive modelling.Conduct web scraping and proficiently manipulate data.Lead the development of modelling techniques using cutting-edge technologies.Collaborate with data subject specialists to enhance functionality and accessibility of our data holdings.Support stakeholders such as Executive, Product, and Data Analytics/Science teams with technical data-related issues and infrastructure requirements.Additional Responsibilities:Occasional travel to various offsite locations may be required for stakeholder meetings.Principal Behaviours:Organize workload efficiently to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), managing conflicting priorities and delegating tasks as needed.Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues to ensure expectations are met, providing exceptional internal and external customer service.Maintain a positive and proactive attitude, with keen attention to detail.Align with the companys Vision, Mission, and Values.Knowledge/Skills and Experience:2-3 years of experience as a data engineer or in a similar role.Demonstrated ability to identify and create value in data.Experience within product-centric organizations.Leadership, mentoring, or coaching experience.Proficiency in working across diverse environments, including development and operations.Strong technical proficiency in MSSQL, PGSQL, Python, .NET.Solid numerical and analytical skills.Desire to learn and adapt to changes, with a proactive approach.Desirable Qualifications:Familiarity with Geospatial Datasets.Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure.Data engineering certification.Experience in financial services or regulated environments.Bachelors degree in computer science, IT, information systems, informatics, statistics, or a similar quantitative field.Established in Didsbury, Connexa Technology Ltd is becoming one of the UKs fastest growing IT and Technology recruitment companies.People.
