Our client is a large organisation and looking for 2 Clinicaal Coders to join their teamThe roles are between 9-12 month extendableYou willTo analyse and abstract complex diagnostic and procedural information from patient records across all clinical specialties.2. To translate diagnostic and procedural information using ICD-10 and OPCS classifications and enter coding onto the Trusts PAS via encoding software.3. To routinely access all electronic clinical systems available to ensure all relevant details are recorded for each patient spell.4. To maintain high levels of concentration for long periods to ensure all discharged patient spells are coded by SUS submission deadlines.5. To assist in resolving coding queries as raised by members of the Clinical Coding team, sharing expertise and assisting in the interpretation of complex information ensuring national standards are met.6. To apply sound independent judgement using learned clinical coding principles when assigning codes for areas that fall outside of national standard or clinical coding process.7. To regularly liaise with clinical staff from all specialties and discuss and understand complex diagnoses and procedures where it is necessary in order to assign accurate coding.10.To maintain the levels of coding accuracy as defined by Data Security ToolkitStandard 1 Data Quality and achieve the performance metrics as defined internally by the Clinical Coding department.11.To ensure all objectives set at annual appraisals are achieved consistently.12.To regularly check and act on internal KPI reports.13.To be aware of, and adhere to, all current National Clinical Coding Standards. It is the personal responsibility of all Accredited Clinical Coders that all changes to coding standards are implemented correctly as per implementation dates, and that all personal resources are updated appropriately.REMOTE WORKING AVAILABLE FOR THIS ROLETHIS ROLE IS INSIDE SCOPE OF IR35
