Job Description

Operational Team Leader required for the dispatch department at a busy manufacturing company in Clevedon, North Somerset.Ideally situated by M5 junction 21, this is an easy commute for anyone living in Bridgwater, Cheddar, Bristol or Newport.

  • £20 - £22.50 per hour PAYE
  • Pay rate depending on experience
  • Monday to Friday 2pm-10pm
  • 33 days holiday per year (including Bank Holidays)
  • Performance related bonus scheme
  • Ample free parking and subsidised canteen on site
About the job
  • Responsibility for a team of up to 25 staff
  • Manage all activities relating to the effective operation of your team, to ensure all activities are on time and to standard.
  • To support, lead and coordinate the team to be proactive in anticipating needs and exceeding business expectations.
  • To lead and develop a high performing multi skilled team in order to achieve individual, departmental and organisational objectives.
The right candidate
  • Experience of working in a role such as supervisor, manager or team leader in a warehouse, goods in or dispatch department, or similar
  • Significant experience of leading, motivating and developing a team
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral
  • Excellent IT literacy, being a competent user of MS office
  • The successful candidate will have toprovide a checkable 5 year work history. Any gaps of more than 28 days will need to be explained in full and evidence provided. Also, a DBS (criminal record check) will be carried out.
