Job Description

  • C4S Search are pleased to be working with a leading development and manufacturing company. The client has a global market presence, having recently opened new manufacturing facilities in America and beyond!
THE OPPORTUNITY: Working under the direction of the Senior Engineer you will be responsible for the execution of design solutions within a multi discipline engineering team. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Maintain the design of modules/sub-assemblies of existing products
  • Ensure continual conformance to the relevant international, national and industry safety standards for existing products
  • Verify that any changes or new designs conform to the relevant design standards by calculation and/or testing as appropriate
  • Responsible for the detailed documentation and maintenance of the design
  • Provide support for manufacturing if there are issues in build or final test when required
  • Provide electrical support for Customer Support Group when required
  • Ensure engineering changes are concluded in accordance with the planned schedule
  • Perform engineering calculations
  • Check electrical drawing packages, ensuring design specifications are met
  • To participate in HAZOP, DFMEA studies and risk analysis techniques according to best practice
  • Problem Solving - to solve problems both in-house and on customers site and resolve with practical solutions - use of a range of problem-solving techniques, e.g., 8D, Ishikawa etc
YOUR KEY SKILLS:
  • Electrical / Electronics biased engineering degree (or other relevant engineering qualification with 2 years industry experience)
  • Used to working in a multidisciplinary environment
  • Experience in product development and introductions is an advantage
  • Knowledge of design for manufacture and design for assembly
  • Experience in the use of a range of engineering materials and with several manufacturing methods/techniques
  • A high level of CAD skills (AutoCAD Electrical preferred and/or other electrical drafting tools)
  • Understand key technical deliverables and requirements and can report concisely to more senior engineers and the project manager
