Our client, a well-respected manufacturer based in North Somerset is looking for an Early Careers and Talent specialist to join their team.This is an exciting role where you will support current graduates and apprentices whilst building the vision for more graduates and apprentices in the future.You will recruit and select the best talent, and with the support of managers, provide world class learning and development opportunities for people to flourish. Work closely with the learning and development specialist you will be the main liaison withany external training provider.As well as having great communication skills, you will have an excellent working knowledge and experience of the Apprentice Levy and understanding of the education system and knowledge routes.Main Responsibilities include Create, own and implement an efficient early careers talent strategy. Plan, manage and review the emerging talent development strategy Drive a consistent and exemplary candidate experience, covering the full candidate lifecycle (attraction, recruitment, onboarding and retention) across all of the early career programmes In combination with the learning and development specialist develop effective strategies for identifying skills gaps within the workforce, developing solutions and strategies to address these. Work with the learning and development specialist to provide advice and guidance to managers on emerging talent development options. Lead assessment centres and other recruitment initiatives Manage and deliver reports and data when required, and using this data to inform decision making and future plans Liaise with training providers to attend employee performance reviews in conjuction with line managers. Collaborate with marketing communications and the HR Manager to develop creative ways to increase the company brand and profile in the talent marketplace. Oversight of our outreach and partnership plans for appropriate colleges and universities at both undergraduate and graduate level. Support line managers in their role with this. Acting as liaison for outreach with industry organisations. Attend employer panels for Get my First Job, job fairs etc. Working closely with managers to ensure that learners are studying suitable qualifications in line with current operational requirements and strategy.Person Specification Extensive experience in managing Early Career programmes, with particular focus on Graduates and Apprentices. Experience of identifying and working with external providers Contracts management with regular reviews of our training providers Managing budgets Internal and external audit experience Experience of working in learning and development CIPD or learning and development degree, engineering degree (desirable)This is a great opportunity to shape the vision of this role as the organisation continues to grow.
