Great opportunity for an Assistant Transport Planner in Clevedon, North Somerset.We are looking for an experienced driver who would be available to assist the Transport Manager in the daily operations of the depot, your main role will be driving a 3.5 Tonne vehicle to complete deliveries to local customers. A typical day has an averageof 10-15 drops per shift with handball required to load and unload the vehicle. You will also be required to cover the depot operations when the manager isnt available, this would involve staying on site to liaise with clients and answer any delivery questions.You will be working for a family run business, trading since 1725 providing excellent customer service to both regular and new clients. The business mainly provides nails, screws, bolts and fixings but can also provide fencing, ironmongery and sealants.Many products are branded but the company also supply their own brands to meet the needs of advancing technology. You will be delivering products to the construction, roofing, fencing and agricultural trades. Stock can range from a box of screws to a rollof roof felt.Hours & Pay:The start time is 6am, you will work between 45 & 55 hours Monday to Friday.We pay weekly every Wednesday and you can accrue holiday pay.You will be given 24/7 access to our online system where you can access timesheets, update your availability and work preferences.Payslips will be issued by email.We also offer a contributory pension scheme.The requirements:Experience working as a supervisor or team leader would be an advantage but not essential.Full UK driving licence.No more than 6 points on your licence.Safety boots, high vis and gloves.Work together, were better connected.
