Job Description

The Role: TPM Technician (3 Nights per week)Salary: £31,287 per annumLocation: CoventryStatus: PermanentSector: Manufacturing/EngineeringTwo positions available, shift patterns: Nights (3 Nights per week Sun-Tues OR Wed-Fri - 1800-0600)Overall mission: To take ownership and responsibility for Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and Servicing activities at the clients manufacturing site. Reporting directly to the Maintenance Supervisor, the TPM Technician is required toadhere to health and safety standards and promote effective teamwork.Responsibilities

  • Conduct TPM activities to a high standard
  • Highlight improvements to relevant TPM standards.
  • Identify difference to the expected condition of equipment suggest improvements where applicable.
  • Update required documentation accurately and promptly.
  • Review site Computerised Maintenance Management Software (CMMS) for allocated task and action / update appropriately
  • Implements programs and procedures required to ensure plant cleanliness.
  • Assists with planning and implementing plant improvements and expansions.
  • Maintains safety, health and environmental policies and procedures
  • Reviews the operation of plant equipment and systems constantly, to minimise unplanned downtime, anticipate solve problems in a timely manner, to identify opportunities’ for improvement.
  • Prepares reports, analyses data, and makes recommendations for improving plant operation and solving maintenance related problems.
Key Tasks
  • Standard TPM checks / tasks
  • Jig and Lid Prep monthly
  • Oiling of chains, jigs and lids across equipment
  • Start up and cycle machines ready for start of production
  • Check extraction, conduct Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) checks
  • Complete end of shift report on activities undertaken / issues found
  • Ensure tool and equipment are available for cleaning
  • Check Planer blade, replace if required
  • Servicing and replacement of wear items
Person Specification:Ability to work unsupervisedPrevious experience in a Maintenance / TPM capacity in a manufacturing environmentDetailed knowledge of maintenance processesProven evidence of a hands-on approach in previous rolesExperience within continuous improvement environmentRelevant Base Level Engineering qualificationStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to analyse and report data effectivelyExcellent planning and organisation skillsProven ability of meeting and exceeding internal and external stakeholder requirementsAbility to adapt and respond to changeAdditional Information
