Job Description

Technical AuthorLocation:Kenilworth, WarwickshireSalary:£28,000 to £30,000 per annumDue to continued success, MCS Corporate Strategies Limited has an exciting opportunity for a talented Technical Writer, who has ideally worked within either the engineering, manufacturing or technical sector.The role involves undertaking technical interviews with clients, identifying qualifying R&D activities and compiling technical reports which describe the R&D projects.MCS Corporate Strategies Limited is a well-respected and established specialist in R&D who will help identify every R&D opportunity. As an independent consultancy, we help businesses and institutions to access the government grants and incentives they areentitled to including R&D claims, Patent Box and Creative Industry tax relief and publicly funded incentives and grants.The ideal candidate will have:

  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills
  • The ability to conduct technical interviews - questioning, listening, fact-finding, and probing
  • A professional approach, representing the company to the very highest standard
  • Excellent technical and persuasive writing skills, with strong editorial skills
  • A high level of computer literacy
  • The ability to manage multiple client projects and to manage client expectations
  • The ability to work under pressure
  • The ability to work independently and take ownership of work
In return the company will offer:
