Buyer Salary £32k - £34k Location: AberdeenshireStart date: ASAPWorking hours: Mon - Fri (2 days work from home available)Responsibilities* Interacts with engineering, management, planning, sales, project and production concerning current and future material requirements for efficient production and optimum levels of customer service* Provide Supplier management & development and Material planning & scheduling to support the demands of the group* Manage stock to minimise inventory holding* Complete request for quotation / contract tender* Implement responsible procurement - social, ethical, economic and environmental* Corporate compliance - Ensuring that corporate and business governance is adhered to.* Ensure material availability in line with production requirements* Ensure suppliers are capable of meeting production demand* Ensure that best costs are being achieved through effective use of request for quotation, benchmarking and cost reduction processes* Develop effective material procurement schedules* Introduce supplier development initiatives that support improved lead-times and cost reduction* Develop options and methods to reduce supplier lead times.Who are we looking for* Experience from the oil and gas industry, preferable but not essential* Experience in supply chain/supply chain coordination preferred but not essential * Able to work in a fast paced environment* Effective interpersonal skills* Effective team player, as well as demonstrates flexibility, imitative and responsibility * Calm under pressure and effective in meeting deadlines* Good communicate skills both written and spoken in local language and English.* Willingness to learnSearch is an equal opportunities recruiter and we welcome applications from all suitably skilled or qualified applicants, regardless of their race, sex, disability, religion/beliefs, sexual orientation or age.
