Job Description

A great opportunity is available for an energetic Sales Engineer to join a growing manufacturing company based in Keighley, West Yorkshire.The CompanyNSF Controls has a long and storied history tracing back to its roots in the 1930s! The company holds global manufacturing and distribution relationships, exporting to 30 countries across 5 continents, with an expanding product range focusing on driving forward technological break-throughs. They are thelargest supplier of solenoids and switches in Europe and a specialist in electro-mechanical assembly services. Their vast standard range of products arerecognised fortheir superior quality and reliability with over a million assemblies built per year. Their mission is to uphold their established reputation for high quality products with first class customer interaction.The RoleAs a Sales Engineer your objective will be to support the senior Sales Engineer in all aspects of sales and customer service/support activities, in conjunction with the Sales Office, proactively developing and maintaining existing business in line with sales targets. In time, the Sales Engineer will have influence on determining priorities for customers regarding deliveries and resource within the company. In addition, your main responsibilities will include but are not limited to:• Develop appropriate internal and external sales channels, relating to products and territories• Visit customers and presenting the complete company product range and attend business opportunity meetings when required• Facilitate discussions on long term contract possibilities with new and existing customers• Working with the Senior Sales Engineer to co-ordinate sales efforts through liaison with other staff within the department• Participate in budget and forecast discussions for each product range• Represent the company at all times and attend exhibitions to increase sales activity and gather market intelligence• Analyse and feed back market, product or competitor intelligence• Participate in regular sales reviews, weekly engineering reviews and liaise with the Marketing department as required• Use the in-house EFACS business control system to track and maximise business opportunities, budgets and marketing investment• Work within the department’s budgetThe CandidateTo be considered for the Sales Engineer position you must have a minimum of 1 years experience in a similar role. In addition, the following key skills and experience are essential:• Capable of presenting NSF’s products to new and existing customers within the existing brand guideline• Able to identify and convert new business opportunities when visiting customers or exhibitions• Good communication and listening skills• A working knowledge of electro-mechanical engineering and a willingness to learn• Commercial knowledge and awareness• Familiarity with NSF’s product ranges (advantageous)• Computer literate• Must be self-motivated and able to work without supervision• Must have a full clean driving licence• Able to work as part of a team and have good written reporting skillsAdditional InformationAlongside the healthy renumeration package the Sales Engineer will benefit from thorough product training and sales-specific training, including: prospecting, sales, and account management.
