Job Description

Teconnex Ltd is a Global manufacturing business, with sites in Keighley, Europe, Americas and Asia. Due to growth we now require a HR Advisor for our site in Keighley, which employs over 400 FTE. Working as part of a proactive, innovative and responsive HR team reporting to the HR Manager. Build and develop relationships with managers and staff at all levels to provide support and guidance on a range of HR matters and share best practice.The role

  • Providing an efficient, effective and customer focused Front Line HR service. Supporting all aspects of the employees relationship and engagement.
  • Build effective working relationships with all staff at all levels providing support, advice and guidance on a range of HR policies and HR related issues particularly disciplinary, grievance, capability/performance and management of sickness.
  • Support the HR Manager with day to day administration.
  • Handling disciplinary/grievance hearings and investigations up to and including appeals.
  • Work with line managers and value stream coordinators to ensure that all HR administration is completed in a timely manner, including new starters, leavers, pay queries, personal and job changes.
  • Working with the HR Administrator to effectively monitor sickness trends and remedial action in accordance with company policy and to facilitate a proactive approach to absence management and health capability.
  • Working with our OH Nurse in managing Occupational Health Referrals, supporting line mangers with any recommendations/outcomes.
  • Second line checking of HR Administrators paperwork and reconciling of payroll changes.
  • Working with our onsite recruitment agency with the transaction of agency workers.
  • Establish good personal working relationships with departmental associates and other Company personnel.
  • Ensure all data and paperwork, manual and computerised records is accurate and up to date and provide accurate and timely reports as and when required
  • Responsible for adhoc duties and assisting with HR projects as and when required.
  • Working alongside the HR team with regards to the development and implementation of the HR strategy.
  • Make recommendations for improvements in processes and practices.
  • The Person
  • An experienced HR Advisor who has held a similar post within a fast paced manufacturing environment. Ideally you must have experience of working within a blue collar or Manufacturing background, ideally spent within a high volume environment.
  • Proven knowledge and experience of delivering HR generalist support.
  • Solid people skills to develop relationships with line and senior management
  • Must have the knowledge and understanding of the practical application of Employment Law.
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, conscientious and hands on
  • Excellent organisational/administrative skills with an eye for detail
  • Practical and common sense approach and the ability to manage time/projects and prioritise
  • CIPD qualified or equivalent experience
  • Must be IT literate and have experience of HR systems and procedures.
  • Enthusiastic and self-motivated, passionate about making a difference
  • Able to work on own initiative with a flexible approach with a can do attitude.
  • Solid communication and relationship management skills and enjoys being part of a team.
