Job Description

One of my clients, with over 25 years’ experience in the maintenance, repair and installation of hydraulic and traction lift equipment, is currently seeking an experienced Lift Service Engineer in the North London area.They offer a friendly and supportive working environment, with plenty of progression opportunities and the chance to begin a fantastic career with a welcoming employer. The position has come available due to expansion of the business and the company recently winning several new contracts in the area.The role for the Lift Service Engineer will involve;

  • The service and routine maintenance of all types of vertical lifts, including both traction and hydraulic equipment.
  • Working throughout the North London area with occasional requirement to work within Central London.
  • Covering the 24-hour standby rota on a 1 day in 5 basis.
  • Carrying out some minor repairs when required, accurately diagnosing faults with elevators.
  • Regularly updating and keeping in contact with the Service Manager.
  • Using the provided PDA to report completed service visits and consult on any changes to route.
  • Using public transport to travel to clients’ sites throughout the area. A van will be provided for night call purposes.
    • To be considered for the role of the Lift Service Engineer, you must have;
  • Previous experience working within a lift maintenance position.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in the maintenance of both traction and hydraulic lifts.
  • An NVQ 3 in Lift Service and Repairs.
  • A full UK driving license.
  • A clear DBS check.
    • This role will offer;
  • An excellent basic salary package up to £39,000.
  • A company Oyster Card for work travel purposes.
  • 25 days’ annual leave plus Bank Holidays.

  • Optional personal use of company vehicle, with the Director’s written consent.
