Job Description

Working within a small, very busy team you will report directly to the Laboratory Manager. You will ideally have an educational or vocational qualification in Chemistry, along with some experience (through work or studies) in a technical environment.Key duties:

  • Testing incoming and outgoing product per the product control sheet
  • Assisting in keeping all laboratory documentation correct and neatly filed
  • Maintaining a good standard of housekeeping
  • Assisting in maintaining accurate test result records for each stage of Quality Control
  • Ensuring safe transfer of samples to the store
  • Inputting test results onto database
  • Transferring lab test reference to sample bottles, emptying old sample bottles
  • Completing certificate of analysis ensure specific customer requirements are met
    • Key experience and skills required:
  • 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade 9 - 4 (A* - C) including maths, English and science
  • Good analytical skills
  • Strong team player
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Good PC skills - experience of a LIMS system would be beneficial
  • Used to working to consistently high standards
    • Hours of work: 40 hours/week (between 6am and 10pm)Holidays: 25 days + bank holidays Required skills
