Job Description

  • As the Global Product Manager,you will be the dedicated product owner for my clients innovative life sciences scheduling software for high-throughput screening for high profile customers globally
  • Own the tender process and respond to all RFP proposals
  • You will work collaboratively with Leadership, Product, Engineering, Customer relations teams
  • Successfully delivering projects as well as developing existing client relationships
  • Work with internal teams and clients to identify opportunities to improve product functionality, process flow
  • Responsibility on complex business components or complex projects
  • Provides direction for the business component or an entire project and/or project team
  • Mentor and transfer knowledge to more junior staff members
  • Works on multifaceted problems that always require new and creative thinking
  • Acts in a leadership role as a principal customer contact and/or interface with Senior Company Management
  • Impact of decisions and/or recommendations would have impact on organizational objectives, have a prolonged effect, and require substantial resources to correct
  • Lead the product strategy and achieving profitable margin, for a designated product or group of products
  • The Product Strategy includes customer needs analysis, capabilities assessment and current positioning, and product roadmaps and plans including the life cycle from product introduction through service, repair, and upgrades
  • Identify customer needs, define product requirements, and sets technology plans
  • Works cross-functionally with engineering, operations, service, and sales to develop new products or enhance existing product(s) or product line(s)
  • Synchronize product development schedules with engineering and operations
  • Hold responsibility for maintaining knowledge of technical aspects of product
The requirements of the Global Product Manager - Laboratory Scheduling Software:
  • You will already have 5+ years of proven experience as a client facing "product owner" of a relevant software solution in the Life Sciences, Biotechnology, High-Throughput Screening, Compound Management, Sample Management, LIMS industries
  • You could hold the title of Product Manager, Principal Consultant, Product Owner, Technical Project Manager or you could be a Software Engineer with experience in the above industries and motivated for the opportunity to be more client facing
  • Strong level of proficiency in the use of personal computers and software packages, especially Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Detail oriented, have strategic thinking skills, and strong organization and interpersonal skills
  • Poised presenting in front of customers and members of the Senior Leadership
  • Educated to degree level in a Biological or Chemistry (Life Sciences) based subject
  • Full right to work in the UK with a valid driving licence, and you must have a full driving licence
  • Ideally you will be based near an International airport, with good transport links
Salary & Benefits:
