Job Description

This growing business is looking to recruit a Project Engineer to support their business in a number of key engineering projects. Reporting directly into the Operations Director and supporting both the Engineering Manager and Project Manager you will beresponsible for managing the technical aspects of a number of key projects. Your responsibilities will encompass multiple phases of the project and you will possess good technical expertise.Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Working as part of a project team install new heavy plant and equipment as required, using lifting equipment in compliance with company policies and ensuring it is positioned in the right place and operates correctly.
  • Design solutions to install new heavy plant and equipment in isolation and alongside existing heavy plant, equipment and infrastructure.
  • Design systems and work to provide efficient running of mechanical services, engineering plant and equipment
  • To develop and assist in planned maintenance procedures on all equipment to ensure maximum equipment availability.
  • Oversee and take part in heavy equipment and plant installations and relocations.
  • Achieve acceptable standards of workmanship and productivity.
  • To liaise and work with other trades/ disciplines, including external agencies
  • To participate fully in the maintenance records scheme, filling in Job sheets and other record documents.
Requirements include:
  • HND or Time served equivalent in Engineering
  • Proven experience of:
    • Delivering Electrical, Mechanical, and Control & Automation projects from concept through to completion and business as Usual.
    • Ability to convert concepts into Technical Drawings
  • Interpret technical drawings, technical specifications and site maps
  • Competent use of tools and equipment
  • Ability to draw and read mechanical and hydraulic drawings, including CAD publishing
  • Able to work safely and efficiently under pressure.
  • Experience of practical engineering in a manufacturing environment
  • Practical Fabrication Experience
  • Ability to work using own initiative with minimal supervision
The role offers a salary of up to £45k + benefits. The role is Monday- Friday working and there will also be the opportunity to work on a hybrid basis if required.
