Job Description

Ready to kick-start your career in project management and make an impact in the IT systems and software applications domain We have an exciting opportunity in a reputable Ipswich business for a motivated and dedicated individual to join the PMO team asa Junior Systems Project Manager.As a Junior Project Manager, you will work closely with the PMO team gaining valuable insights into planning and delivering large-scale business-critical projects. This role also offers the chance to take ownership of smaller scale changes within the continuousimprovement workstream, working directly with stakeholders to understand requirements and manage changes to completion. This position serves as an ideal stepping stone towards a Project Manager role within the organisation.Your responsibilities include:

  • Supporting Project Managers in various aspects of project lifecycles, from initiation to implementation.
  • Managing the planning and delivery of changes to existing applications and services.
  • Collaborating with third-party vendors to provide operational support for our reservations system.
  • Assisting in testing new applications and processes developed as part of projects.
Qualifications and skills required:
  • Knowledge of Project Management methodology, PRINCE2/DSDM (Not essential)
  • Familiarity with requirements gathering techniques, such as User Stories and Prioritized Business Requirements Lists.
  • Strong organisation, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • English and Maths GCSE Grade C and above.
  • Ability to make decisions under pressure and work effectively at all levels of the organisation.
  • Knowledge/exposure to software development or applications.
  • Willingness to travel and work outside normal office hours.
  • Full UK Driving License.
