IT Infrastructure Technician12 Month Fixed Term ContractMSC UK prides itself on being the Employer of Choice within the shipping industry and we are looking to recruit an Infrastructure Technician to join our IT team in Ipswich. The successful candidate will work as part of a relatively small, niche team workingwithin a larger IT environment where responsibility is to ensure the availability of core business applications and the IT support functions which maintain them. As well as providing backup for the desktop support team.We believe the successful Infrastructure Technician should have the following skills:Proven hands on experience of the following is required (not all essential)- Windows Server 2012 / 2016 Active Directory in a Clustered environment- Microsoft SQL Sever- Firewall Technology- SAN administration, ideally Compellent. HP.Working knowledge of:- Networking - Switching, Routing, & Vlans- Microsoft virtualisation technology- Microsoft system centre suite 2016The Key tasks for the Infrastructure Technician role are: Monitor and maintain existing network servers and infrastructure Monitor and maintain Microsoft Domain services AD/DNS/DHCP/GPO Monitor and maintain Citrix environment Implement new technology into live and test environments Troubleshoot complex network, server & application issues Troubleshoot 3rd line support issues passed over from IT teams Monitor & Maintain existing SAN systems Work with business support team to maintain and upgrade in house systems Monitor and maintain existing security platformsSome of the benefits we offer you:
