Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join an established logistics company based in Ipswich. They are looking for an experienced Financial Accountant with at least 1 years PQE. The successful Financial Accountant will work closely with the management teamwith the possibility for progression for the right candidate.Financial AccountantIpswichThe role:

  • Work closely with the management teams to improve profitability and cash flow through effective and accurate financial control.
  • Prepare statutory accounts in accordance with relevant accounting legislation and principles
  • Preparation of audit working papers for the yearend including intercompany and group reporting
  • Ensure tax compliance and associated reporting
  • VAT, Employment Tax, Corporation Tax, Tax Strategy and Transfer Pricing
  • Preparation of VAT return
  • Undertake full monthly balance sheet reviews investigating and resolving any issues
The candidate:
  • Qualified accountant (ACCA, or ACA)
  • Able to operate effective reporting standards in line with IFRS and FRS 102
  • Proven interpersonal, communication, written and analytical skills
  • Proactive approach whilst looking to make continuous improvements
  • Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Knowledge and experience of SAP Financials
  • Consolidated Accounting
  • Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Power BI
