Full time, permanent We have an exciting opportunity as a Depot and Cargo Coordinator, within this role, you will be supporting the UK Depot and Cargo Logistics operations. There will be the opportunity to carry out reporting and analysis and looking at laden reefer malfunctionreporting and resolution. Full training and support will be provided.We believe the successful Depot & Cargo Coordinator should have the following skills: Good knowledge of Dry/reefer equipment and depot, warehousing and transportation industry Demonstrate excellent time management and organisational skills. Ability to address and resolve day to day business issues with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Desire to improve current procedures and processes. Excellent numeracy, literacy and IT skills including Microsoft office. Knowledge of MSC internal IT systems would be advantageous but not compulsory. Be able to demonstrate a professional manner at all times. Ability to be flexible and meet strict deadlines. Good working knowledge of cargo handling and equipment utilisation.The key tasks for the Depot & Cargo Coordinator are: Liaise with colleagues across all the business with depot requirements. Monitor additional incoming costs to the business and commence recovery Assist in data analysing to maximise operational efficiency. High level control of UK bolt and vent seal stocks Producing quotations for the transportation and handling of cargo, liaising with commercial contacts as necessary Coordinating with transport suppliers and ports, managing exceptions during day to day operations. Liaise with Medlog, Port Operations, Stevedores and Reefer Technicians as required to resolve malfunctions during vessel port stay or arrange discharge for repair. Monitoring of ongoing costs incurred during malfunction reporting, seeking best value and addressing areas where costs increase.
