Job Description

Suffolk County Council are looking forChildrens Social Workers and Senior Social Workers to join their team workingacross Suffolk. You will join us on a full- or part-time, permanent basis.Thesuccessful candidate will earn a competitive salary of £32,909 - £42,380 per annum (pro rata for part-time).About the Childrens Social Worker role:We are actively looking to recruit flexible, highly motivated, and enthusiastic Social Workers to join teams across Suffolk who share the same commitment, dedication, care, and support as we do.We recognise that good quality health, safety and wellbeing is integral to a healthy work-life balance, and we are proud to have created a positive environment where Social Workers can achieve meaningful and impactful outcomes.We are committed to offeringflexible workingoptions to you for this role.We welcome applications from everyone. We particularly welcome male applicants because they are under-represented in this directorate.Sponsorship for a Health and Care Worker visa may be available for current UK residents.We have opportunities available for Childrens Social Workers and Senior Social Workers* across the following teams:

  • social care teams working with children subject to s17 and s47 assessment, a child in need, and child protection plans
  • child in care teams working with our children in care, both children in long-term placements and subject to care proceedings
You will need a relevant social work qualification and Social Work England registration.As our Childrens Social Worker, you will have:
  • access to regular supervision
  • the necessary training to enhance career development through our supportive career pathways programme and to make sure you feel supported within your role
  • clinical supervision by a seasoned professional. This does not only benefit your personal wellbeing but directly affects the experience of the children and young people within our care
Additional benefits:
  • Up to 29 days annual leave plus bank holidays per annum, pro rata for part time
  • An uplift of 3 additional annual leave days, pro rata for part time
  • 3 protected CPD days per annum
