Our client is a key player in the express parcels market offering an extensive coverage and service throughout the UK.They are now recruiting for an AM SHIFT MANAGER based out of their new busy depot in IPSWICH. Monday - Friday 6am to 2pm. (40 hour week)Managing a team of circa 15 warehouse operatives on shift. Your role will be to manage the shift and team making sure all trunk vehicles are unloaded, parcels are sorted and 20 C&D vehicles are loaded correctly and sent out within certain KPIs. The responsibilities can vary depending on how busy the shift is, but generally you will have 20 vehicles to load, 20 Drivers to oversee and 30 routes to organise Your role will be hands on with regards to the operation, but will also include motivating, KPImonitoring and developing your staff.The team is a very stable operation and is run to a high level; this is a great opportunity for the right candidate to grow their career.To be the successful candidate for this position you will have a strong background in Express parcel operations and have worked on shifts before. You will have experience of working as a manager or supervisor in a courier/parcels environment and be a strongmotivator of people, who offers solutions to the General Manager rather than reporting problems. You will be self motivated and highly organised.You will also ideally hold a Counter Balance FLT Licence.
