Job Description

Our client is looking to recruit an experienced Stock Controller to join the team in Inverurie, Aberdeenshire.DutiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for;

  • Controlling and recording of goods inwards and outwards.
  • Managing the life cycle of an inventory.
  • Maintaining a close relationship with our distribution partners and working together to streamline processes and procedures
  • Identifying cost saving opportunities and highlighting these to the Branch Manager
  • Stock management: monitoring levels and flagging low stock or when replenishment is required.
  • Organise and manage weekly stock checks as required
  • Create and manage bin locations
  • Ensure all work carried out is done safely
  • Working with Branch Manager, forecast, plan and control stock
  • Manage risks and costs of holding stock, but still meeting customers needs
Requirements:
  • Previous experience managing stock e.g. Stock Controller, Supply Chain, Inventory, Inventory Controller would be desirable. A strong background in administration may also be considered.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Confident building relationships internally and externally.
  • Able to manage workload and prioritise urgent and important tasks.
  • Proficient computer skills including MS office
  • Willing to attend internal and external training courses as and when required
  • Standard grade or Nat 4/5 English and Maths or equivalent
