We are looking for a motivated occupational therapist to join our established community mental health teams/occupational therapy service within Older Adult Mental Health. Service provision is to patients (aged over 65) with both functional and organic mental illness, in a range of settings, including their own homes, hospital and community settings. The post holder will be working within the multi-disciplinary community mental health teams, with supervision from senior occupational therapists.Applicants will be able to demonstrate competent assessment, treatment and discharge planning skills with relevant placement experience in the specialist area of mental health and with older adults. Delivery of occupational therapy treatment is on an individual and/or group basis as required. Considerable skills in communication, effective organisational and time management skills are essential in ensuring delivery of a high standard of service.Full driving licence and access to a car is required for both posts.Flexible working, including evening and weekend work may be required to meet service demands.Regular supervision and support will be provided as will the opportunity to self develop through the use of an annual development review and a Personal Development Plan.Informal Enquiries to Helen Cronin, Team lead Occupational Therapist Older Adult Mental Health, Aberdeenshire,
