Job Description

Quality Inspector - Ilminster - Somerset£20,000 - £26,00020+BH, 4-day week, Sick pay, discount schemeOpportunity to progress and developA new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality Inspector to join this excellent company synonymous with quality and a reputation for excellence. With no day ever being the same this opportunity offers genuine long-term progression and career developmentwithin a first-class manufacturing environment.Role & Responsibilities:

  • Dimensional inspection of a range of products and recording of results
  • Using metrology equipment including CMM, height gauge and hand-held gauges
  • Processing all non-conforming parts and using the MRB system
  • Inspection of the finished products, returns from customers and production problems
  • Completing First Article Inspection Reports
  • Assisting in any continuous improvement activities
  • Responsible for all aspects of visual inspection using laser and electro-etch marking
  • Liaising with production & engineering team on any dimensional quality issues
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
  • Experience working within a manufacturing, engineering, production or process environments
  • Experience with manufacturing machining processes
  • Use of hand-held gauges - verniers, micrometers
  • Use of CMM, Talysurf, Talyrond and Heigh gauge
