Job Description

Job Title: General Teaching AssistantLocation: IlkestonEmpowering Learning are recruiting a general teaching assistant to join our lovely team. We have day-to-day, short-term, and long-term available roles, in part-time and full-time employment.We are currently working with a mainstream school located in Ilkeston. As a Teaching Assistant you will play a crucial role in assisting teachers and pupils in various academic and classroom activities.Your responsibilities include:

  • Providing support to teachers in lesson planning, material preparation, and classroom management.
  • Assisting students with their learning, answering questions, and providing one-on-one or small group guidance.
  • Collaborating with educators to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Supervising students during classroom activities, ensuring their safety and engagement.
  • Supporting the implementation of educational programs and assessments.
  • Offering constructive feedback and support to students in their academic pursuits.
Job Requirements:
  • Previous experience working in a primary education environment
  • Experience of support children or adults with ASC
  • Strong communication skills
  • Valid child and adult enhanced DBS registered with the online update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
