Job Description

Time served / qualified electrically biased Maintenance Supervisor required on regular days, for a sector leading processing company based in Derbyshire between Derby and Nottingham.As Maintenance Supervisor you will report to the maintenance manager and have 3 x shift team leaders reporting to you. You will be responsible for assisting in the management of the maintenance teams in regard to planned and reactive maintenance of all equipment on site. This is a hands-on role when needed and although days based, flexibility is required to work overtime in the week or at weekends subject to breakdowns and projects.All plant, equipment and services are to be maintained in line with the companies PPM and safety systems and you also be responsible for ensuring that all statutory regulations are followed. This is a heavy manufacturing type environment so experience in mining, quarrying, aggregates, or foundries or similar would be desirable.Maintenance Supervisor responsibilities:

  • Ensure PPM`s are carried out in line with CMMS
  • Action any observations / concerns from PPMs
  • Assist maintenance team on breakdowns when required to reduce downtime
  • Ensure all H&S and environmental policies statutory requirements are followed
  • Assist in improvements projects
  • Assist in departmental budget management
  • Communicate daily with the maintenance team, operations to share updates of plant status and any issues
  • Assist in cross functional task teams to improve machine / process reliability
  • Mentor teams and individuals with skills and knowledge
  • Supervise contractors and ensure RAMS are followed
  • Attend daily toolbox talks
  • Qualifications & Experience:
  • Qualified in electrical engineering to Level 3 or above
  • Experience of managing a maintenance team or teams in a manufacturing / processing site
  • Experience of 121`s / appraisals and disciplinary investigations
  • Proven experience of developing and motivating teams
  • Ideally have experience of working in a heavy manufacturing type sector
