Job Description

FURNITURE UPHOLSTERERThis is an excellent opportunity to work as a FURNITURE UPHOLSTERER at one of Ilkestons premier furniture and soft furnishings company who supply to a number of the leading high street retailers and into the caravan and leisure industry.We are looking to recruit highly motivated FURNITURE UPHOLSTERER ( S) to join our manufacturing business based in Ilkeston. This is a full-time permanent role.The Role of the FURNITURE UPHOLSTERER :The role will involve a variety of duties including:

  • Using a tacking gun in a safe manor to upholster sofa frames and other caravan products in keeping with the appropriate quality levels.
  • Ensuring that work is produced to any reasonable timescales set by management or supervisors to meet deliveries.
  • Manual handling / Heavy Lifting will be involved
  • Report any issues immediately to the supervisor
  • Assist with any other tasks as required
  • Ensure all aspects of required health and safety protocol are used
    • The successful candidate will be self-motivated, capable of working to tight deadlines and be able to work effectively as part of a small team.A high degree of flexibility will also be required in order to carry out any other duties within the department in order to ensure the smooth running of production.Due to the nature of the role some heavy lifting and manual handling will be required.Experience within a similar role would be an essential but full training will be provided.Location: IlkestonDuration: Ongoing, Temporary to Permanent role after 12 weeksHours of Work- 6.45 - 3.45 Monday to Thursday and 6.45 - 11.45 on FridaySalary- £10:90-£12:00 per hour depending on experienceBenefits of working with us as a FURNITURE UPHOLSTERER during your 12 week temp to perm :
