Job Description

Are you an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer with leadership experience, looking for a new challenge, or that next step up You might be an Engineering Team Leader or Engineering Supervisor working shifts and would really like to work Mondayto Friday on daysWe have an open vacancy with a food manufacturing business, this friendly business need an experienced Maintenance Engineer who can manage a small engineering department. Could that be youSalary, hours, and benefits

  • 37.5 hours per week (But you are a leader so you will need to flex when needed, if your team and the business need you)
  • Monday to Friday
  • £52,000
  • 6% Bonus
  • Pension (up to 6%), private healthcare, life cover
The role of Engineering ManagerYou will be 80% hands off, leading the maintenance engineering department, ensuring the team deliver a high quality, effective engineering service.20% of the time you will still need to get your hands dirty, support the team in a hands-on way and lead from the front.Your engineering and leadership expertise will be needed to ensure the plant runs smoothly, you identify and drive through continuous improvement projects, and manage small projects to upgrade the factory, equipment, and site services.The existing team describe themselves as “we are a good team, we pull together”.We need an engineering leader to harness that team spirit, support and develop the maintenance engineering team.Experience and skills required.
  • Previous leadership experience, engineering team leader, engineering supervisor, maintenance manager etc
  • Apprenticeship or degree qualified in engineering.
  • Multi Skilled experience (Electrical and Mechanical)
  • Proven maintenance engineering experience in an FMCG environment (food industry is not essential)
  • Ability to work towards and deliver agreed KPI’s.
  • Work in a safe manner, have a strong understanding of all health and safety regulations, and requirements.
  • Be accountable for delivery an effective engineering service.
  • Lead with experience and empathy.
  • Curious, always looking for improvements.
