Commissioning & Support Engineer

We are looking for a Commissioning & Support Engineer to join an industry leading company in Derby.Job Requirements

Undertake planned maintenance activities on control and automation systems across several sites through out the UK
- Involves periods away from home, nights and some weekends
Undertake fault rectification activities
Participate in an on call rota
Respond to reactive maintenance callouts
Produce fault/maintenance reports
Applicant must be able to drive as the job involves driving to various sites
The applicant should expect to be on-site Qualifications
HND or higher in an electrical based subject (Electrical/Electronic/Mechatronics etc.)

Technical Skills/Experience

Installation, modification and fault finding control panels and associated sensors etc.
Writing and fault finding PLC software written in ladder, function block and structured text
Creating and fault finding SCADA systems
Creating and fault finding HMI systems
Configuring and fault finding industrial Ethernet networks
- Including ring/spanning tree topologies
- Including VLANs
VMWare virtualisation
Good general IT skills
Competent with Microsoft Office Physical Characteristics
Must be reasonably fit
Must be prepared to work outside
Must be prepared to get hands on
Must be prepared to work as part of a young and dynamic team
Calm under pressure
Persistent
Excellent communication skills
The job will require working at height on occasion
The Job will require confined space access on occasion

On offer is a Salary of £25,000 to £40,000 dependent on experience plus an enhanced holiday package plus Laptop & Phone
