Are you looking for an exciting challenge Reed engineering are partnering a growing company who due to continued success in their sector are looking for a Business unit Manager / MDPrimarily Our Clientis a leading Structures Inspection and Investigation Consultancy, and an Infrastructure Services Contractor. As a Tier 1 supplier, we provide peace of mind for our clients, carrying out condition appraisals of their assets and completingminor civils works including structures maintenance and repair services to keep critical infrastructure safe.Over the past few years, the business has been requested by Minor Works Contractors to support them undertake specialist access remedial repairs due to our knowledge of the infrastructure and ability to access areas that would normally warrant extensivescaffolding installations.Due to their rapid growth, they are looking to appoint a competent and seasoned senior leader who has a passion for leading business development, the ability to service and engage with their partners, clients and in house delivery teams. This role has thepotential to rapidly develop into an MD role with full P&L responsibility and accountability.QualitiesA self-starter, ambitious, competent, and driven individual. Someone who is most likely to be working in the industry already and has had project and staff responsibilities and has the ambition to run part of a larger business.The successful candidate will have worked in the civil engineering and or construction industry across rail, highways, utilities and or Industrial sectors. She/He will probably be already carrying such responsibilities albeit at a more junior level withinthe industry today.Some of the responsibilities will be:

• Build the business unit from the firm foundation of existing contracts / clients.
• Incorporate company procedures and policies in the business units operations and develop new procedures if required to serve the needs of the business unit.
• Monitor and review project activities and ensure its completion within scheduled time and budget in collaboration with other divisions where necessary
• Work with HSQE leadership, implement and monitor safe practices of work
• Manage business activities focusing on financial and strategic growth
• Create new marketing strategies and monitor QA and QC measures.
• Build strong relationship with customers to maintain good revenue growth both within existing contracts and new direct award contracts to the business
• Work with the financial management team to ensure the business grows profitably according to targets
• Create harmonious working environment, train and mentor staff and motivate all team members to perform efficiently.
• Actively participate in recruiting new staff and managing supply chain
• Explore and analyse market trends and identify new opportunities
• Coordinate with Marketing team to develop and implement operational plans for new service launches.
• Work on requirements provided by senior management whenever required
