  • Drive and maintain the company’s inventory management strategy with the aim of ensuring the appropriate raw materials are available to support production requirements without unnecessary redundancy, maximizing available working capital.
  • Optimize maximum benefit from the applicable Indirect procurement.
  • The role carries responsibility for working with Manufacturing, Planning and Warehouse to ensure necessary functions are carried out correctly.Main Responsibilities:
  • Continue to embed culture of Operational Excellence using established.
  • Lead the Purchasing team effectively to ensure delivery of raw material and efficient services supporting manufacturing.
  • Work with the global Strategic Sourcing team to ensure alignment of strategies.
  • Support initiatives and driving results, measured by responsive supplier performance, process and service improvements throughout the supply chain.
  • Maintain integrity and accuracy of the stock management system (SAP).
  • Ensure accurate MRP data (lead times, ROP, SS) for all raw materials in SAP is maintained.
  • Drive processes to help ensure materials available as required for production.
  • Responsibility for applicable raw material KANBAN inventory.
  • Supplier Relationship Management establishing strong supplier partnerships.
  • Achieve maximum benefit for the site through sourcing activities.
  • Work with planning team to ensure raw material are available to meet Manufacturing’s needs.
  • Develop and execute strategies, policies and practice directed at improving service and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and evaluate material utilization and scrap.
  • Handle and monitor supplier returns driving improved quality and financial control (credit notes).
  • Resolve invoicing.
  • Trained in all meaningful SOPs and adherence to all applicable procedures for handling inventory control.
  • Identify any continuous improvements in the Inventory management and Purchasing functions to reduce inventory and maximize the benefit to the site, whilst working with the relevant team members to achieve this.
  • Develop a procurement culture, building and maintaining solid relationships across the organization to find opportunities to improve purchasing
  • Responsible for the day to day management of the 6 team members, effective utilization of the resources for the purchasing area.Additional Responsibilities:
  • Multi Skilled - throughout supply chain, cross training, on and off site.
  • CIPS qualified or working towards.
  • Alternative - APICS - CPIM qualified.Qualifications/Education/Competencies/Skills:
  • Confirmed experience across supply chain functions.
  • Proficiency with MS Office & SAP (preferred).
